Log Line: In 1833, a plantation owner’s wife creates fear and chaos when she uses Voodoo to control her slave stable. What comes around goes around.

Synopsis: A thriller set in St. James, Jamaica where ANNIE PALMER is not at all what she seems.

Petite and attractive, Annie balances her unassuming disposition with displaced anger masked by passionate evil intent. When her husband JOHN is away Annie uses everything in her “power” to keep her plantation organized and well run. Having acquired the scare tactics of the slaves’ own polytheistic religion, she uses fear and violence to keep an uprising at bay. Annie sees her male slaves as concubines as well as labor.

Never content with her slave lovers for very long Annie sets her eye on DORSEY, the beau of NATALIE, a young slave girl. The plantation’s overseer ARMSTRONG has earned his place as one of Annie’s most trusted slave though as the father of Natalie, he is careful not to show any favoritism. Annie’s attempt to seduce Dorsey ends how all of Annie’s relationships do, in boredom on her part, and death on theirs.

Seeing the only source of Natalie’s happiness stripped away, Armstrong faces Annie with his own method of strength, the voodoo that Annie thinks she has mastered.
