Anne Lower serves as an independent marketing and story consultant. As Director of Education and Outreach for Final Draft, Inc. Anne created “Global Voices – Bringing Communities Together One Story at a Time”, a global outreach program which brings underserved and disadvantaged writers together with some of Hollywood’s leading professionals, in order to foster and mentor the writer's voice. Anne has led her “Building Stories that Resonate” workshops to youths in Southern California, and has presented writing seminars at such events as University Film and Video Association, Women in Film Los Angeles, Women in Focus, Writers Faire, Freshi Film Festival and several others.

While in Oklahoma, Anne founded the Bullshed Theatre project, and premiered James Wall’s “Auschwitz Lullaby”, which later went on to win the Princess Grace Award, and Ensemble Studio member Paul Austin’s “Artificial Light”

As Director of V-Day OKC, Anne founded The Delores Fund, on behalf of the Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This fund assists victims of domestic violence to leave an abusive home and to obtain a new residence.

A produced playwright and a screenwriter, Anne is co-developing an internet broadcast series for screenwriters. Anne serves on the Board of Trustees as Director of Communications for the International Centre of Women Playwrights and lives in Toluca Lake, California.

The Importance of Being Structured

Princess Scribe arose this morning to her usual routine – a glorious sunrise, bunnies fetching her slippers, little birdies draping a bathrobe round HRH’s shoulders, and a long-lashed doe presenting her with her ritual cup of green tea. All was right in the world, as Princess sat down to review the morning’s offerings before taking on DISTRICT 9 as a new blog subject.
