The Diamond in the Rough
Kacee hails from Whitestone, New York where she first started performing at age three for her dolls and teddy bears. After growing up in New York she hit the road running onward ho across America searching, journeying for life's unexpected twists and turns. Her many travels finally led her to California, which she currently calls home.
Kacee has been in the entertainment industry ever since her California journey began. She came to tell life's stories, perform and enjoy the ride. Kacee holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Chapman University in Theatre and a minor in Anthropology. Kacee recently received her Master's degree from the University of La Verne in Gerontology.
She has acted in over 40 independent, union and student films. Kacee enjoys the art of filmmaking and enjoys being on film sets. She loves to create characters through back-stories, acting methods and real life experiences. When you cast Kacee as an actor or a director you get much more. She is educated, professional and has tons of real life experiences.
Kacee started directing on the advice of a casting director who stated “Kacee had a great eye”. Kacee learned directing from being on numerous film sets and watching both classics and black and white movies. Kacee has directed all forms : Stage, Shorts, Features, Music Videos, and Trailers. Kacee currently directs and manages the Live Performance Troupe, Sharing GOD Kid Style and her film company, Got GOD Films, released their first film this year, with one film at Sundance and three films being released in 2009. Kacee is the diamond in the rough.
Kacee is an outside the box thinker and very versatile bringing a new realm of creativity to her projects. Kacee’s directing style is rather unique. Kacee believes in casting the best actor for the role no matter the race. You will notice this in Kacee’s directorial debut; Jordan’s River which is a multi-cultural feature. The best actor gets the job on Kacee’s films no matter the color and sometimes no matter the gender. Kacee has a habit of casting against type. You will notice this detail not only in Kacee’s film, but also in her scripts, which are not race specific.
Kacee is a Christian and has a solid faith based relationship with God so much so, she placed her trust in God and went from being a terminal Stage 4 Cancer victim to being Cancer-free in less than seven months. Kacee has trained and studied in several states and consistently studies her craft.
If you are looking for someone with experience both behind the camera and in front of the camera someone who loves the journey call Kacee and experience the ride.
